This is just crazy. so if holzken were to win, this would be a bigger upset than tyson douglas?? what is wrong with the bookies?? first they had McGregor only a 4-1 Underdog vs floyd. then they made eubank jr the favorite vs groves. now this??

first off, sure, Smith is a favorite. a solid one. but 50-1?? thats like saying holzken is a tomato can.
he is NOT a tomato can.

just type in his Name in YouTube. you´ll find tons Videos of him knocking People out in kickboxing. and while kickboxing is not boxing, just look at his technique, Speed and power.........and what you find alone makes These odd´s rediculous.

add the fact that he is 13-0 in pro boxing. he has been 10 rounds twice so he is not a novice.
and then add the fact that he knocked out Victor polyakov in 2 rounds.
polyakov just beat former WBA champ de carolis (in italy) and beat up unbeaten german prospect stefan hartel (he was robbed on that decision) in a reserve bout for the WBSS!!
putting a fringe contender like polyakov away in 2 rounds is a warning sign!

put it all together.......how the hell can you make Smith a 50-1 favorite.

as i said, yes, he is the favorite. maybe like 5-1 or 6-1. but 50-1?? that is just crazy.

Worth remembering that odds aren't reflective of the likelihood of something happening, they're purely a tool to entice gamblers.

yeah, but the bookies have to pay up in the end. thats why they are usually a reliable source.

So is this opponent confirmed then?

Terrible choice to have as backup imo

    Ronald quinlan would’ve been better

This tournament has lost it self a bit

I've taken a small bit of the 23-1 on Betfair exchange, just too big to not have small piece of. I expect a routine Smith win, but I've expected that of many fights and fighters before, is not always the case. It's almost value just based on a combination of a lucky KO for the underdog and the potential of a random injury during the fight for the favourite.

50 to 1 is bullshirt indeed. I hope there will be a vbookie event here with those odds in place, worth a gamble with v$100 :borra2:

Its because of they way people are betting.
No one is betting on the kickboxer while everyone was betting on the MMA guy.

    It hasn’t really.

In reality the final was always going to be Groves - Smith. It will lose its way if they draft a replacement in for Groves instead of pushing it back.

I think I'm with the wrong bookmaker.

11/1 to win by any method is all I'm being flashed.
