    Yes, Eubank kicked his ass.

And Benn made the weight, so what's the issue ?

No one was saying he checked his weight for the first time on the morning of the fight. Maybe he checked his weight every day. Maybe he was 163 or 164 pounds or something the day before that, and gained weight unexpectedly at the worst possible time, instead of losing it. It happens sometimes when the body is aching to grow, and every bit of fluid and food is held as weight (blood, muscle etc.). As Benn said, he thought he wasn't eating but he was just sitting around, hence whatever he ate wasn't burning up fast enough.

I dont see why you dismiss it.
I dont accept weight-making as an excuse, and Eubank kicked his ass for real. But it's stupid to say him and the others are all making it up.

    I dont give a **** either.

But you are equally ******ed and stupid for claiming that Benn and his entourage are lying about him being 6 or 7 pounds over. It's not at all hard to believe.

He was 6 pounds over. He worked it off and made the weight. He fought well. And the better man won. What's so difficult about that ?

He was always a big middleweight. A full 165 pounds as an amateur, and routinely weighed 165+ in non-title fights when he was coming up.

This is the first time I saw Benn fight on TV as a professional, in his fourth pro fight, back in 1987. ....

He weighed in over 12 stone for this fight ....

I remember Buncey telling us on Setanta that Calzaghe was 6lb overweight the day before the Roy Jones weigh-in, possibly more.

    It happens.

Eubank has far worse troubles making weight than Benn did! On one occasion, can't remember what fight it was for, but Eubank would have the compliemtary fruit in hotel room removed because he was struggling to make weight!

Eubank said he lost 19lb in four days before Eubank-Watson I.

Still when fights had same-day weigh-ins as well.
