Nigel Benn, and the people advising Conor, are irresponsible.

Heart can only take you so far, he says most fighters don’t get tested yeah not top level ones because they will only really be tested at top level because that’s were there heading or should be.

 

It's sad that he's trying to be his father, who had a fairly suicidal style that only really worked because he possessed phenomenal punching power.

Nigel Benn is going to see his son bashed up or brained so he can say "see son, I told you it ain't easy!"

We're looking at a another Nick Blackwell situation unfolding unfortunately. A jumped up domestic level fighter who thinks using their face is the best form of defence whilst believing that getting bruised and battered is a badge of honour.

Good comments on here. Benn has athleticism and heart, but other than that he's just not very good.

His last fight should have been a draw and that would have been the best thing for him. He needs taken down a few pegs because he is far from even British level and is going to get hurt at higher levels unless he seriously works on his defence.

"Some time ago I advised you to keep your father close because he has knowledge that no trainer can possibly have& it will protect you in many profound ways because of his experiences. Another 3 fights like your last and you will be a used fighter"

He simply isn't good enough and needs a considerable amount of work if he is ever to win a domestic title.

With his arrogance, I can see this ending only one way.

 

He's Got heart and athleticism so he's got a chance to do something .

 

He's a nice kid who was starting to believe the Hearn hype. He needs to do his learning in a gym and not on a PPV undercard.

 

His head has been filled with so much rubbish, do you remember when Nigel said in an interview his son would be bigger than him I'm sire he was only 16 at the time... This thread is right, he should be fighting at area level but matchroom have catapulted him into the limelight and the public want to see him fight at British level now

 

I still think he has potential, he just needs to learn from his last fight which tbh came at a great time for him. It could have been worse, he still won.

 

He definitely has potential think people are just so negative and don't understand how hard it is to perform with massive pressure mounting on you with little experience. Considering his experience I think he looks good.
