Was thinking if this fight could be fixed. Might stick a few quid on for Benn winning.

Defiantly a lot being made of the Benn’s plant based diets. This Netflix documentary has a very interesting take on it and features heavyweight Trevor Bryant

Injured, the only surprise is that he is injured so early and not at the first hint of it becoming a brutal KO once he's stepped into the ring.

That's enough now, Nigel, you were shot 23 years ago and you're more than shot now. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, the blokes closer to 60 than 50, but it's time to accept that it's over and let Conor get on with building his Matchroom fanbase.

This is excellent news, nothing good was going to come from this attempt at a comeback.

The whole boxing world lets out a big sigh of relief.

I knew it wouldn't happen anyway. Said it ages ago somewhere in this thread.

Maybe the whole thing was a publicity stunt to try and raise Conor’s profile some more.

I think there are a number of possibilities, this included.

Maybe ticket sales have flopped plus they weren't too optimistic about PPV buys either and decided to scrap it.

Maybe with the recent tragedies there's been and the dangers of the sport in the spotlight more than ever just now, he's decided against it or maybe somebody close to him asked him to reconsider.

Or maybe he is just injured. A 55 year old in full training for a fight, sparring and everything picking up an injury isn't hard to believe either.

I'd say he realised he'll probably lose money on the fight. It was absolute madness and hopefully that's the end of it.

Awful news. Was really looking forward to it. Hope it's rescheduled soon enough.

The majority of us saw this coming, the arena would have been 3/4 empty if it had gone ahead.

I'd imagine he got chinned in sparring
