the hardest hitting middleweights got me thinking about this.

neither are gonna be backing up, both hit like absolute monsters, lacy showed good chin and great heart despite being absolutely humiliated by calzaghe and whilst benn's chin may not be the most solid, he has the heart of a lion, real british grit and balls of steel, the second round of the mclellan fight is the finest example of this.

i see it being a slugfest with very little backing up, but who takes it?

i didn't say that, i just saw their names both mentioned in the thread about the 5 hardest hitting middleweights and thought it would be quite an interesting matchup.

this is a super middlewieght contest anyways...benn by his fighting instincts and quick reflexes punching power in both hands and a no die determination...people forget how good a boxer benn was he had an amazing jab linked with combo's that were quick and snappy

lacy even though a good fighter and an alright boxer with a long reach didnt have the combo's and two handed power that benn had...

lacy's right hand is very underated

Both guys can KO the other. Benn is no Calzaghe he will be there for Lacy to hit.

Benn probably gets him late in a war.

Lacy stops Benn. He has a better chin and that makes the difference here.

Most of McClellan's punches didn't land clean, Benn saw that right hook in advance.
