No I'm not a born again Christian but I know a lot of them, so nothing Benn says would shock me, I've heard it all before.

I don't consider myself to have a great historical boxing knowledge, but I am of an age where I remember a lot of Benn's fights. Barkley, De Witt etc were not around for Calzaghe to fight, he beat the best in his division in Kessler. If the division was deeper in Benn's era, big deal, Calzaghe can't beat what is not there. That doesn't mean he is inferior to Benn, and I agree with Benn that Calzaghe would have beat him.

Who has the greater body of work though. Joe's long undefeated run must score a few points (having said that Benn held stronger belts for longer, I think), and Benn perhaps lost to people he shouldn't have.

If Benn fought everyone on Calzaghes resume, because of his style, I'm not sure if he would be still undefeated.

I'm a big Eubank fan but also a fan of Benn. I just don't think Benn could put Calzaghe away with his power and Calzaghe would outbox him as the fight wore on.
