1.benn was not just loved in the uk but also greatly admired and feared stateside, especially after he'd been over there and wiped the floor with barkley and dewitt.

    2. benn lost to eubank and watson, two quality MW's in his live by the sword, die by the sword days, this is no great shame. he also should have got the nod from the judges in the second eubank fight, tragic circumstances denied any rematch with watson.

    3. beating the g-man was a big upset, he was top 10 P4P at the time, but benn was never the same after that fight, it destroyed him on the inside, although you are wrong on him losing 3 after the g-man fight then retiring, he went 2-3 after it, but was a horrid shell of his former self.

If Carman Basilio is in, then Nigel Benn should be too.

Just like Emile Griffith changed his style after the Peret fight, Nigel
was affected too by the McClellan tragedy and soon retired.

benn is my favorite UK fighter, as ThePluginBabies said, benn's live by the sword die by the sword ring mentality was awesome to watch. bombs away all night. so yes i think the dark destroyer is deserving of a spot in the HOF.

If Benn was to be inducted then surely Eubank is in with a big shout?

if the hall of fame should have famous boxers and a story to tell...benn is mos defintly in
he had almost 3 parts of his career
first his prospect days and his amazing 22 win 22 ko streak

then the world traveller goign abroad and fighting fighters of all caliburs then his later days when he was clearly passed it but was still winning fights and bombing favorites out.

his story of him tryign to commit suicide was a big turning point as he is now a minister and is a very calm nice guy not that aggresive brutish dark destroyer.

great fighter great entertainer has a great story has a good resume and is famous= hall of famer
