A lot of you will have read in the press recently that there's talk of Nigel and Steve coming out of retirement and boxing each other in a third bout two decades after their last one. What does everyone think of this ? I'm sure I'm among the majority here in wishing that they'd forget it and be content with their proud legacies. However if the old boys pass the requisite tests I've no strong opposition against it providing they stay in their veterans comfort zone. If one of them were talking about facing a champion or contender at the top of his game I'd be at the head of the queue condemning it. Mind you, even this has more credibilty than the forthcoming Mayweather/MacGregor farce.
Saw a recent pic of benn in the paper last week. Doesn't look in bad shape, but not sure if that means he's in fighting shape. I'm not sure about this fight to be honest. I like both guys but a third fight after all this time!?
I know what you mean,Fergy. Still, its not quite as dreaded a prospect as the rumours not so long ago of Riddick Bowe and Andrew Golata planning to meet for the third time. Now that I definitely don't want to see happen.
Benn is in great shape..Eubanks couldnt come to an agreement after a yr of talks. Benn said hes tired of the games and called Collins. Collins said yes no problem. Collins in it for money to buy more land Benn in it for closure
Bowe/Golota would be horrible. At least Benn,Collins and Eubank look in good shape for their age group. Bowe looks and sounds pretty rough nowadays.
