What a fight.. Round 3 especially.. Why we lived for Saturday nights in the 90s This content is protected
All 45-50 of Benn's fights were live on ITV I think and none stunk. The guy wasn't just at his most dangerous when hurt, but at his most vulnerable when the opponent was hurt! It was like every pub in the country when those chimes of Big Ben were heard were glued and roaring 'Go on, Nige!' He got stuck in alright!
Deffo not the Essex boys.. The only involvement I recall from them at his fights was Tony Tucker... The one with Terry Stone wearing a ferret on his head in all the films to portray, was part of his security team for the McLellan fight.
Yeah great action I miss the 90s I remember how the pubs used to be packed when the boxing was on. Eubank/Benn 2 was an incredible atmosphere 90s seems so different. Pubs would be busy on the Saturday afternoons, queues to get in in the evening and queues to bars, nightclubs everywhere and music that was new and still being played today I miss the big 90s PPV nights. they would start in the UK and then go over to the USA and be on for like 9 hours or so
Back to the days when not everyone had sky and it was back to a pals with a load of beer and a curry then try to stay awake for the big fights about 4am usually Lennox back then.
Carlton Leach walked him in with Tucker for the Eubank rematch through to the Wembley Stadium fight before the Range Rover shooting.
