In the book ‘The Hate Game’, it says that Roy Jones Jnr was ringside. Not sure if I believe that.

Yes Roy was ringside, he had just signed with NBC who covered the Benn-Watson fight in the States. They wanted to build a Benn v Roy Jones fight, with Jones as the great American hope to take the unbeaten Brit annihilator Benn.

Eubank was there, Nunn and Bruno and a young Lennox.

Bob Arum was so impressed with Benn’s LOSING effort that he signed him right after, dubbing him ‘the most exciting fighter in the world’.

Johnny Nelson was on the undercard, so Naz was possibly there too.

Probably. Not sure if there’s footage. Don’t care.

Roy Jones Sr took his son off TV not long after and the NBC deal fizzled out. Probably through seeing what had happened to Benn coming crashing down with too much hype.
