No contraversy. Benn was back in, in time and as you say very game and tough

There is absolutely no doubt that the fight should have been stopped in that first round. If Benn was so tough he wouldn't have been in that position. Was he particularly tough in either Eubank fight? Or against Watson? Wharton? Barkley? Even Anthony Logan. Nobody, NOBODY that can be labelled as 'tough' should be in trouble in so many fights, in some cases against mediocre fighters.

    Away with you....

My Vcash is respectable, yours is made up of safe bets, like Ward versus robots or midgets.

Look, the simple fact is, Ward lost to Boone, got exposed heavily by Bika, and was made to look average by the slowest smw of all time in Froch. Ward has zero power, atrocious chin, and relies on headbutting and dirty tactics. :-:)verysad:dead

Benn would never lose to a Boone, or even lose 4-5 rounds to a Froch, and he certainly would never have scraped a win against a Bika, he would KO all of them, only Froch may last, but i think he would be stopped due to an accumiliation of punches.:yep

I told you before, they would hire a forensics team to recover Ward had he ever faced a prime Benn.:deal

Ward would dodge and run for most of the fight, but i see Benn eventually catching up with him in the later rounds with a bomb to K'O him

What weaknesses of Ward do you see Benn exploiting? I'm curious.

Was he not in trouble against the people at some point against the people I mentioned? I think you are one of many who confuse 'tough' with 'brave'.

    Benn?

    Come on guys.....

Calzaghe is FAR and away the best British SMW ever, and I think many would think Ward could beat Calzaghe.

I am 100% sure Ward would beat any british former SMW - except Calzaghe. Calzaghe I would have as 60-40 favorite.

Ward can fight at all ranges with sound defense and a high ring IQ he's simply more complete and would be too much for Benn. Ward UD:deal
