Nigel is just too explosive for Bennie, who tended to find a middle gear and plug away. Stoppage on cuts with Benn slightly ahead on points by the 10th.
Bennie was stopped once in 95 fights by powerpunching Rocky Valdez, another fighter I'd take over Benn. Both Bennie and Nigel are hittable, but Bennie was sturdier. I'd take Bennie to withstand explosive Nigel's storm early and pound him down for a late round stoppage.
Yes, extremely violent I'd say! Toss up for me but have a little more confidence in Bennie to win.. By ko of course.
Can,t see Benn being able to withstand Briscoe,s heavy thudding punches for too long, yes Benn would come out all guns blazing, but Bennie had a great chin, better than Benns I would say, so early rounds maybe even, then Bennies ( not Benns ) ferocious body punching would slow Benn down for a stoppage or KO , lest we forget Liston himself said while watching Bennie as a amateur " the last of the great body punchers " so yea, Bennie prevails, in a tumultuous fight, while it lasts.
Benn comes at Bennie who takes his best and after several vicious rounds, the tougher, better conditioned and harder punching Briscoe takes his toll with body punching and Benn's flimsy chin and iffy stamina lead to him being stopped in the 7-9 range.
I cannot see the 160lbs Benn model winning this. Briscoe's chin is too sturdy and he would be too wily for this version of Benn. Briscoe to win sometime after the fifth or sixth.
