Watson hit hard enough to be respected by everyone in the division. Benn was confused and bemused by Watson. It was not that he quit or even gassed, it was that he was thoroughly beaten and unable to come up with any solutions to the fighter in front of him. I always suggested and have got a ton of grief for doing so, but Benn did quit against Collins.
He didn't quit at all, he completely gassed out, the last punch was a jab but it was irrelevant what it was he had nothing left. I would suggest although they had a similar amount of fights, at that stage Watson was a more rounded fighter than Benn, who had been blowing everyone away up until then. Benn learned to pace himself after that, he had good wins against Barkley, DeWitt and Robbie Simms at Midfleweight. The Eubank loss no excuses for him and no disgrace. He was up against a genuine granite chinned tough guy who when motivated and on top of his game would be a tough proposition for anybody and Benn gave him hell, Eubank to his credit simply toughed it out. If there was any quit in Benn I'm sure it would have manifested itself at Super Middle against McClellan, he took a hell of a beating in that fight.
Tricky BJS is a Good boxer will probably get in front But hasn't got much pop .one mistake and he's toast .good fight
Saunders outboxes Benn easily, embarrasses him actually ALA Sugar boy Malinga 1. Malinga I thought won the first easily...
He was young a green against Watson and he dealt massive punishment to Eubank before tiring no chance Saunders could whether that. Granted he wouldn't be in front of Benn as much but who has Saunders beat of real quality?
I could see Saunders bemusing an 88 Hearns. And at the time Tommy's legs were shot at 160, so even BJS could have him in trouble...
