Froch keeps his hands too low, Bad matchup for Froch.

Tough fight, neither man is winning this easily.

I'd favour Benn. Froch is used to facing and dealing with faster more athletic fighters like Benn. But he usually has the edge in power and will to win which makes up for his short comings. Up against Benn he'd be facing a fighter who hit harder and had an even greater will to win.

Guys that have beaten Benn out boxed him and out endured him. Froch could do the latter but I don't think he could do the former. Benn's style was to bob and weave in front of his opponents looking to draw the lead and then counter with big shots. Froch will be drawn into a brawl which will see him outpointed or perhaps even stopped late.

I also agree Benn takes this even if we wasn't a natural super middle Froch is easy to hit
I think Frochs jab is underrated but against Benn it would be useless with Benn coming in low great fight though

Ward has been dropped before and the only reason Froch and Kessler couldn't test his chin is because there to slow (I HATE TO SOUND LIKE A CHIN CHECKING ****** ) Benn managed to land punches on Eubank i see no reason he couldn't catch Ward as well

When punchers meet the guy with the better chin usually wins. Unless the boxing skill level is something completely different that is. Froch was a top level amateur and a 3 time world champion. He wouldnt get out classed and his chin wouldn't fail him. Froch by KO.

Usually I'd agree the guy with the better chin wins. But we are taking about Benn here, perhaps the most ferocious British boxer to ever step in the ring, the guy was born to fight.

He faced durable punchers in Wharton, Barkley and of course McCellan and always came out on top. Only guy who ever stood toe to toe with Benn and came out on top was Collins and that was when Benn was shot.

Benn by stoppage but certainly not a one sided fight

While their fights we're fierce with some great exchanges, Eubank was a boxer first and puncher second. He fought both fights on the back foot he didn't go toe to toe with Benn.

Personally, I think the definition of "going toe to toe" is Eubank/Benn 1. Neither man was looking to win that fight on points, neither man backed up but instead met each other head on and threw everything they had at each other. It was a gladiatorial effort from both men.

Hadn't seen Benn-Collins, didnt realise they went toe to toe. Weird considering Collins himself said he chose to box Eubank because he didnt think he could go toe to toe with Eubank, yet he did with Benn?

Ya actually that McCellan fight is a good point. You would have to rate McCellan as a better fighter and bigger puncher then Froch if I had to be honest. Barkley I always felt was overrated.
