I'm aware that Tito's record at middleweight isn't great but he always fared best against aggressive fighters and I think it's safe to say Benn was one of those.

This fight would be a guaranteed classic war but who do you think would win?

Benn TKO early. Tito was dropped and hurt by smaller punchers. Benn might taste Canvas but i think that will make him get the job done quicker

I'd go with Trinidad via mids rounds stoppage.

Trinidad struggled with wiley slicksters like Winky and Hopkins, not crude toe-to-toe sluggers like Benn.

Trinidad was KD many times in his career, but rarely hurt.

Benn's chin wasn't all that great, and Trinidad still packed a punch at Middleweight.

I see this being like Watson-Benn, actually.

Why on earth did I put anything about a points win in the poll? No way would this last the distance.

Completely one-sided poll. I'd love to see how this thread would fare in the general, safc:yep:good.

I think Benn stops him in an utter war. Benn was the bigger puncher at 160, but Benns middleweight clumsiness could get him in trouble. Both fighters will be hurt at some point but Nige pulls out a mid to late round stoppage.

I reckon even on the GF you'll get "Benn KO" as being the choice.

I'd still like to see the 'Benn is overrated' comments, though!;)

Not cut and dry IMO. Trinidad wasn't really badly hurt all that often, he didn't have a glass chin..he just liked to eat canvas. He'd have enough power to hurt Benn, and the reverse is also true. It's difficult to predict that kind of shoot out, Benn wasn't a good boxer at this point, its something that developed later for him so there is a chance he walks into something.
