Benn by KO. Their power would be about equal, but Benn was much more aggressive. Also, without checking, I'm pretty sure that Benn would have a significant reach advantage, and that would be the difference right there since they are / were both primarily "outside" fighters. Full disclosure: Nigel Benn is one of my all-time favorite fighters. So .....
Benn for now. But I have high hopes for GGG. Guy just is technically really good and attacks body as equally as head. Benn would find a place for his right tho GGG IS hittable so really whoever has better chin and lands first. But Benn is more proven at this point.
Could go either way, 2 big hitters, but i'm going with Golovkin because he has never been KD in his boxing as a pro or am, and has shown more against better opposition.
Neither Benn or Golovkin were/are "outside" fighters.Even the somewhat more reserved, economical Benn of the early-mid 90's still did his best work at mid-range, and Golovkin would probably fall into that category (as a mid-range fighter) too.
Better opposition than Eubank, Barkley, Collins, Mcclellan, Malinga and Watson?:good None of GGG's opponents could hold a candle to these guys. Id predict Benn by mid round ko in a great fight, too much power, and he knew how consistently land it. GGG's also never face a fighter that would stand up to his power, Benn would do that and more.
