Had to be a brit to start this....TONEY...BY KO or Desicision...either way TONEY..too old school for Benn...Benn was pretty much just a big puncher....TONEY..lol...You thinks Eubanks didnt flinch to big punches..Toney laughed at your ass. This guy fought the animal Peter for 24 rounds..I mean a guy that cracks the back of the head....Id say Benn's punch would not be that much of a factor..lol..Got to love the UK

ok...so now the knee jerk reactionary posts are out of thye way...jt has one of the best chins...ever.....no doubt...in my opinion, a better chin than eubank, who, it must be said had a breeze block for a head too...but a level below jt's......anyhow, the fight....im a huge benn fan, and a fan of toney...had they fought at middle or supermiddle, i can see two things happen, toney controls the fight from the ring centre, doesnt allow benn to get off with his swarming, bobing and weaving offense and score a wide ud or, perhaps, a late rounds stoppage due to an accumulation of short, accurate punches.......or, toney decides wrong, underestimates benn, and lays on the ropes, picking him off, but allowing benn to dictate the pace and occasionally visibly hurt him to the head and body...benn may well take some sharp counters in this fight, but wins a narrow decision on workrate and applied agression...

 

Benns wild hooks would put him right where toney wants him. If you fight like that against toney you usually get put to sleep with a counter punch. Toney had problems with good fast boxers...

 

yup...im with ya...if toney took benn seriously he wins easily...if he underestimates him, its a hard night at the office....even at middleweight/smw, toney could be a lazy s o b.....and his arrogant attitude might just act in benns favour here....
