Getting hit solidly has a lot to do with angles and the momentum of the fighter getting hit.

Toney could get hit with huge shot but was very good at rolling at punches. But that jab was straight up his face, he had no chance to roll.

Pac ate monster shots from JMM and Morales and didn't go down. Whereas a skinny 122 lbr Hussein put him down hurt. What can you say about this, jackass?

I would have to watch the Hussein knock down again.

If you want to argue until your blue in the face that that knockdown was due to the force of the blow, go for it. It just shows that youre an idiot. I suppose that jab had more power and MOMENTUM due to its angle than all the other power punches that Peter landed over 24 rounds.

    Get a grip man.

James Toney by late round stoppage due to accumalation of blows. JT had good power at 168 himself his ko of Prince Charles Williams was sick, he turned his fight against Tim Littles around instantly realizing the fight might be stopped due to cuts. Benn was a bad dude with wicked punching power. But Toney not only has wicked defense and would be hard to hit cleany he also has a granite chin that he can take punches when hit. Toney's awesome counterpunching skills and combinations would do a number on Benn. JT would find it easy to see Benns shots coming and be able to move out the way, roll, counter etc. Benn would fight pretty good on even terms in the early going but as the rounds went on Toney's accumalating precise counters would take there toll.

The kd was clearly due to Toney being off balance. Even if you don't admit that you can surely admit Toney wasn't hurt or concussed by the punch.

I see no possible way Benn doesn't implode and try to ko Toney. He will fail and lose the first fight. In the rematch I think he can take the W.

James Toney may have the best chin of anyone I have ever seen.......'cept, he don't get hit enough to prove that.

Toney would have butchered Nigel Benn. It would have looked alot like Toney vs. Iran Barkley.

Toney has been hit solid by many greats and more hard hitting then benn jirov hit him with everything he had, holyfield, barkley, rahman, peter for two fights 2nd biggest puncher at heavywieght, and holyfield threw some crisp hooks that never put him down toney wins by a wide margain against benn

It all depends on whether Toney was on performance enhancing drugs back then. A drug cheat for life.
