Nigel Benn is one of the biggest hypejobs of the past quarter century.

 

Weird match up. I think Benn is too quick and powerful. He's not a great fighter but he is borderline excellent. Chavez Jr is probably someone who should never have gotten a belt. His best win is ... Duddy. Benn had some excellent performances and came back when his chin was cracked, he was sloppy but also very very fast. Chavez may be less sloppy but I don't think he can match the intensity. Benn did put the G man away.

 

Unless Chavez Jr has an amazing chin and can handle getting hit with some on the hardest and fastest punches in Middleweight history for 5 or 6 rounds then he could probably come on to stop Benn late after Benn punches himself out teeing off on the wide open easy to hit Chavez....... but I doubt that anyone could handle what Chavez would get hit with so Benn TKO anywhere from 1 to 4 depending on how much Chavez can take I doubt he makes it out of the 2nd and that's generous.

 

Benn cherry picked all his opponents and was given the title as oppose to young hungry lion chavez whos obliterated his opposition and has had many wars with the likes of duddy, vanda, and the very dangerous Zbik!!

Benn is a bit overrated, but I still expect him to beat chavez on the size and power difference.

Benn is a mix of Allen Green and Froch. In todays division he would have some good fights with Froch but would lose 2 out of 3 of those.

 

Benn would tear him apart big towns. People saying Benn is overrated?? yeah maybe a little but his power wasnt overrated.

Talking of overrated, JCC Jr. Hes ****in overrated and over protected and would get punch raped.

But then Benn is my favourite boxer ever so i would say that.

 

Maybe i am being delusional but i think benn would have smashed most of today's opposition. Chaves jr would be beaten badly in my mind. I also think benn beats froch too. Yes, as a boxer he wasn't the best but other fight defining attributes he had in abundance
