Thank you brother!:good Pavlik didn't even make it back to his dressing room before everybody started: "Oh YEAH!, well so and so, and so and so could beat him!".:-( Give the kid a chance to do something first, he just won his belts in his last fight.
:| grow up, maybe the thread starter just wanted to know how people thought pavlik would fare against another monster hitter? maybe....just maybe, the fact that they had different passports didn't enter his head, but i'll stop raining on your paranoid parade now.
Eat my ****. People from across the pond can't stand it and you know it. Maybe the fact that the other 400 threads with the same content had the same pass ports didn't enter none of the OP's minds either. But yeah, I'm just being paranoid... you got me. I make no illusions about the young champ and these threads obviously serve a single purpose. But if you feel better now, it's all good I guess.
Why's that? Pavlik's an American that won the title from another American who took it off yet another American. It's not like he beat a European favourite. Why would we be ok with Taylor and not Pavlik when, if anything, Pavlik has the most obvious European roots? Anyway, Benn would maul him.
what can't we stand? i was happy for pavlik, the same way i'd have been happy for taylor had he won, i couldn't give a flying **** if they were american or not.
Yes Benn would. And that's why it's so much fun (for most, I shouldn't have made it to read all and I appologize), look at locations for OP's and everybody chiming in. I don't mean to imply I understand it, but from the moment he won against Taylor threads have PUMPED out 90% of which are of British fighters (mostly retired) that would kill the new young champ. Mostly they are right too which makes it obvious 1) Why make the thread to start with? 2) Just want to down play the new American champ before he even has a chance to do anything.
so far i have seen calzaghe-pavlik threads and benn-pavlik threads. no mention of eubank, minter, turpin, graham, reid or any other brit that has ever fought at middleweight for that matter. so much for your 90%.
OK, I'll be happy for Calzaghe if he beats Kess too. And Hatton if he beats Mayweather, but the first thing I'll do is start 400 threads about all the obvious fighters that could've beat them. And all Americans will post in agreement with me. Don't worry though, if my RIDICULOUS threads cause you to question my motives I won't call you paranoid or anything. Cool?
where are you getting this 400th thread stuff from? there's the benn one, and the uhhhhhhhhhhh benn one. calzaghe-pavlik threads have started because there is an actual chance they may meet at some point in the future, nothing to do with what their passports say. other pavlik v opponent threads have been involving the likes of hopkins/winky/hager/hearns etc. you are way overreacting here.
nah that's cool, i'll probably let it go here. i do agree though that a lot of fantasy match ups on this forum are started because the OP has a hidden motive.
Again the Benn one is just for today, and again I have no beef with you bro, as you are one of the better and more informed posters on ESB. There were tons of them on Calzaghe (which a champ of 10 years from a higher weight class should do quite well against a young guy from a lower one), and many others over the last couple weeks including anyone not american talking about how Abraham would own Pavlik (maybe, maybe not?), but the Benn one pushed me over the edge because it's quite obvious who would win that (with the little Pavlik has been able to do this far in his career). I probably did over react.
oh i'd love to see pavlik smash abraham at some point, something still sits uneasy with me after watching abrahams fight with miranda, and karma's a *****.
