I know smiffy but goddamn bro. Were talking H2H not accomplishments(which are easily debatable). And in an honest H2H war it could go either way! I pick Pavlik mainly because I feel he has the BETTER chin...and Because Benn punched with such great force and energy I feel Kelly would have more late in the fight, hence my pick for late stoppage

i think pavliks too static to keep benn off him. too one dimensional . plus benn always fought better against the bigger punchers. they riled him.
ask again in a couple of years and if pavliks still going strong you'll have a point but at this moment, different class .

C'mon smiffy.....Pavlik is NOT one-dimensional and you know better:yep Sure he's a pressure fighter, but he's shown he can apply it in different ways. To me this shows versatility. Pavlik is still developing and is improving with every fight. To be honest I feel Benn and Kelly are of equal class

That would be a tough fight. I wonder how Pavlik would deal with Benn's body punching and I wonder how Benn would deal with Pavliks come forward I'm going to get you style. This is a really hard fight to call. Pavlik doesn't hit as hard as Mc Clellan but something tells me he overcomes a wild fight and wins this one.

Benn would mutilate him, seriously. Walking forward like that, open defence, no real head movement or lateral movement.

He doesn't show me anything defensively that suggests he won't get his head knocked off. People forget how explosive and quick Benn was and no little skill, he was not just a brute force puncher.

A fairly easy night for Benn.

There is nothing illogical about it. Pavlik is not at any sort of advantage in this fight. If you havn't got a good defence against Nigel Benn you will get murdered. He is too quick and and damn aggressive not to land on a guy like Pavlik who is not elusive or quick on his feet.

Whereas in reverse, Benn is not going to die on us from a few heavy handed Pavlik shots. He's shown his heart and recovery powers and ability to take bigger punches from a better fighter in McClellan.

Both Benn and Pavlik have similar offensive qualities, so theres no mutilation of either fighter...as I've said it would be a war that could go either way

Pavlik has achieved more at 160 but over all Benn has achieved more. Obviously Kelly has a long way to go in his career and could go on to better Benn's career but as of right now Benn is rated higher all time in my opinion.

As for the original posters question i would pick Benn to win in an absolute war.

Either could end the fight early with the right punch, all though i would slightly favour Benn for a quick stoppage with his harder punch power and the fact that he was very aggressive in the early rounds.

However, i think it would probably go into the mid-latter rounds with Kelly's height, reach and better fundamental skills giving Benn trouble early. As Benn starts timing the distance and his shots better by the early mid rounds and landing on Pavlik then he will start to wear Pavlik down.

After this i see both guys opening up more and in a brilliant brawl, both landing bombs either or both guys could go down.

Ultimately i see Benn doing the more damage and eventually stopping Pavlik in rounds 8-10.

Sure have mate. Perhaps I shouldve worded my previous post abit differently.....So you think Benn has a better chin than Kelly? I'm assuming
