    Benn Ko.
Pavlik's good but the Americans o way overboard about him. He beat Taylor yes and that was a good win but if Hopkins was a few years younger he probably would have too. In fact in imo Hopkins narrowly won both Taylor fights. I think Benn's far to quick and powerful for such a one dimensional fighter, at least based on what I've seen so far.

People severely overrate Benn's ability at middleweight.

OK, let's get one thing straight.

Calzaghe is at another level from Benn, Collins and that crowd. Back in the day SMW was not popular in the US and that allowed a group of english boxers to get some belts etc.

Benn himself has said several times that Joe would have beaten the entire bunch from back then including Benn himself.

No - first off... yes, I acknowledge that Joe is a special fighter with a lot of intangibles. It isn't always pretty, but it works. And I awknowledge that Joe is a favorite to beat Pavlik, but that (given that Joe is a level up from Benn) does NOT mean that Benn would also beat Pavlik. In fact I am far from sure he would. IT may be Pavlik-Miranda all over again. Benn was a murderous puncher much like Miranda, but had flaws too much like Miranda. History tends to soften the light in which we look at fighters, but I am really far from sure Benn could handle Pavlik. Far from sure.

Not really, he isn't much better than them at all. I give the super-middleweight Benn a good shot at beating Calzaghe, and I would have expected Michael Watson to do so.

Thats cause Benn is all religious and **** now, Benn would of destroyed any of these guys, Calzaghe included, Benn was an animal that enjoyed hurting people, don't you remember him taunting G-Man when he was lying on the ground all ****ed up?

Calzaghe beats Benn to a wide UD.

Benn or Pavlik? I think it is a little too early to tell for Pavlik.

Collins beat Eubank and Benn twice. Benn's legs looked a little wobbly in several fights that he got a KO. Iran Barkley being one of them and there was a white guy who Benn stopped in four rounds but Benn was in a war despite knocking the guy down repeatedly.
I like both fighters. This fight is a tough call. Collins had a granite chin but he didn't have the punch of Pavlik.

Lets get another thing straight, we are talking about Benn at MIDDLEWEIGHT, not SMW, so theres no need for anybody mentioning Calzaghe or Collins. 89/90 Benn vs 07/8 Pavlik. Its not close, Pavlik doesnt see the 5th.
