Have to fancy Finnegan here as benn has serious stamina issues. Over 15 rounds i just cant see Benn lasting and after weathering an early onslaught i can see Kevin winning with late stoppage. I just cant envision nigel going 15 rounds
What a ****in war this would be:bbb I'am for Kevin here, I see him stopping Nigel around 10/12 but it would'nt suprise me if Nigel KO'd him early either seeing he was such a banger but in the main Kevin would handle him & pour it on in the last 3rd to TKO a rapidly fatigued Benn. If Kevin had been around a decade later he'd have been a world champ or if Hagler had'nt existed, he was 2 x double hard & a great boxer into it as well. I'll always remember when he beat Sibbo when he stomped around the ring roaring his head off like a gorilla
You wouldn't be able to guess just how much I actually like Benn judging by the number of times I seem to go against him in fantasy fights. Kev Finnegan was a top notch boxer and as hard as nails into the bargain - I'd pick him to outfox and outgrit Benn with less reservation were it not for the risk of cuts aligned with his tendency to seemingly take his foot off the accelerator at times. I still might pick him to win on points, with Benn's recklessness at middle having the potential to work either for or against the both of them.
Agreeing with Tin here, it was possible to get into the trenches with Benn and have success if you had a great chin and didn't mind mauling Nigel on the inside.
