Tough fight to call. Wouldnt be surprised of either winning.

Nunn would win this one. Nunn was a big middleweight like 6-3, and Toney beat Nunn because he could throw that right hand when Nunn leaned back on the ropes, something most guys could not do including Barkley. I think Benn looks slower than he does against most guys since Nunn is faster than most guys he fought and Nunn beats him easily enough. The key for Benn would be bodypunching.

I really dont think Benn has the skills in this one. I look to the Eubank and Watson fights, were his deficiencies were well shown, and I think Nunn had everything he needed to capitalize. His punch, while not awesome, is still good enough to do damage as he does his boxing.

    I'd take Nunn by TKO10.

It would be '**** or bust' for Benn. There is no way he could win on points, of course.

And six rounds with Benn at his most aggressive/explosive is too many rounds for Nunn to escape! (Same with Graham and Jones.)

I'm a big Benn (fnarr fnarr) fan but see Nunn winning this, boxing his way to an easy points win.

I can see either man knocking out the other. I think it depends on how Benn fights: if he goes rushing in and tries to bomb out Nunn early, I give Nunn a good shot at taking advantage of ample opportunities and stopping Benn early. If Benn does his "slow but steady pressure" routine and keeps his head moving properly, then I make him the favourite to break down Nunn because Barkley & Toney proved that slow pressure turned Nunn into a very negative and beatable boxer.

Nunn would have picked Benn apart. He was simply a different class than Benn.

I have doubts about the effectiveness of Benn against a tall lanky southpaw cutie. I think Benn is off balance and missing all night against this guy. Benn looks best against easy to hit guys and Nunn and that lateral movement is not going to play that game.

Depends when it happens: Arum mentioned it in 88 (Nunn wins easy, by mid round stoppage).

If they had met like they were supposed to, post Benn/EubankII (well, the winner was), I think Benn would win a close decision, with the benefit of the fight probably being on home turf.

At 160 - Benn comes out strong early, but Nunn is super slick in there making Benn miss badly and crude,.,but at the same time cautious and and a little gun shy...But ,By the 5th Nunns jab wouldnt miss, and a little after start landing reguarlarly with everything else. Nunn begins to dominate and outclass Benn after that,.Dropping him then finally stopping him .. Nunn Tko 10

At 168- Nunn was past it and not the same fighter,,only flashes, his legs, reflexes were faded and everythiing else looked like an old mans version or his Mw days....Where as Benn was more experienced, learned how to pace himself and a more well rounded fighter... His power dropped a little but didnt matter he still punched hard, and he proved more durable when he had too.
Best version of SM Benn(who fought Mccellan-Eubabnk).?? Early rounds close, Whether you like Benns aggressiveness and harder shots, Or Nunns conterpunching (lighter but landing more)...Nunns edges the mid rounds, but Benn scores big and hurts hm here and there.. Eventually dropping Nunn....Nunns starts to wear down..... Can See Benn scoring a late ko or Nunn doing just enought to last the distance... Benn ko 11,12 Or by close but clear decision.

I had Nunn beating Barkley comfortably myself. It wasn't remotely close by my reckoning.
