McCallum will make Benn look one-dimensional and ordinary. Check out what he did to Julian for clues.
Benn would be on top early on. He'd be leading going into the middle rounds but McCallum would get stronger as the fight wore on and would eventually stop Benn. There would be some fierce exchanges. When Benn was on you had to walk through fire to beat him but McCallum had all the skills as well as an asbestos suit.
Benn himself said during his fighting days that he didn't mind getting punched to the head but he sure has hell wasn't going to let McCallum snatch his body. McCallum wins.
It would be interesting if they met at 168 with Benn at his peak. May even be a cagey affair for a while with McCallum pulling away down the stretch.
I see it as a pressure/physical beast against a technician, but I think Benn pulls McCallum into the trenches. It could be a back forth war similar to the Eubank fight. Now McCallum was a better technician but not as strong/durable or a puncher like Eubank was. I really think this could go either way in a closely fought battle
I get the impression that you post for the sole purpose of disagreeing with everyone else to spark a useless debate. McCallum's body punching, accuracy, and durability would see him not only hold his own, but get the better of any inside or mid range exchanges, and the clear edge on the outside belongs to him as well. I don't see this being particularly competitive past the first few rounds until the point it's stopped in the mid to late rounds.
I remember that quote too...Benn knew he didn't want any part of McCallum. McCallum 11th round stoppage.
