They were both tremendously exiting and great, but a young Tyson, destructive wise, was like nothing else. At the time there was only one "baddest man on the planet", and it was him.
tyson - " if razor doesn't die it doesn't count" " i wanted to hit him so hard his nose bone would go through his brain "
I think Benn has every right to be mentioned in the same sentence as mike tyson not a lot in that one at all as far as over all talent goes p4p.
Not acclaim. To who, the other side of the pond maybe. The best was Benn, but he was a crybaby in my eyes due to retiring almost everytime he lost. I really liked him as a fighter, but he was a bit childish. He beat McClellan, but we all know McClellan was damaged goods. He would have not beaten Jones maybe just maybe Toney. Watson and Eubank would have never beat the three. Acclaim, Jones was considered superman at one time. He was on another level from all five.
That's easy, Benn. Try to get hit by a MW and then a HW and then ask the question again. There is a major difference.
No. The question is, who was the more ferocious and sadistic. Not, who would you least like to fight, because that would be ****ing obvious.
I didnt watch enough of Benn to say for sure, but my money would be on Tyson, it's hard to say wether alot of his antics were staged or not, but one things for sure, in his prime he was probably the baddest man on the planet.
i think if you're saying who was/is the maddest ******* out of the two, there really is only one mike tyson .
Not to mention comments like "I will eat your ******* out alive, *****" or my personal favorite, "Bend over so I can **** you in ass infront of everyone", the guy was raw as one can get, and attracted more people to the sport than any other boxer that ever stepped foot in the ring, Tyson was a true legend of the sport and there will never be a man quite like "Iron" Mike.
People forget.. Mike Tyson was a great actor "A master at mind games", most of the stuff he said was pre - thought. That great speech he gave post fight, saying he will...."Eat Lennox Lewis's children" Do you think that scared Lennox Lewis..? He was probably laughing. With Nigel Benn, there was no acting..there was no flamboyant quote's. Nigel Benn was bad from the start. Mike Tyson did play up this bad boy image too much in his later career, and he did not fool the tougher heavyweights. "Like Evander Holyfield..who came to the ring smiling in both of their fights.." No one came to the ring smiling against Nigel Benn...
Just wow man. You really believe that Mike was that good an actor? I've seen him on tv from talk shows, to music videos, to short clips in movies and tv shows. The guy isn't an actor and he isn't a master of his own mind much less a master at messing with ours.
