Kessler a little too predictable I feel.Benns decent upper body movement and fast, ferocious attacks would give him a points win. Kessler is a very live underdog here though.
Kessler is a better boxer than Benn but Benn has many years of nostalgia points built up and Kessler just can't compete with that.
Hell yeah. Benn was not (I repeat NOT) a particularly big puncher at 168. Anyone with an opposing viewpoint had better bring some evidence to back it up. And I guarantee that noone can come up with something (either footage or statistics) that is even remotely convincing.
It wasn't as if he lacked power at 168. He could still hurt the best of them and his opponents had respect for his power, no doubt.
He wasn't a weak puncher, and his punches had enough authority to get respect. He was capable of hurting opponents that lacked durability, but even that was mainly due to attrition, and he sure as hell wasn't this power-punching dynamo that people actually seem to believe.
He wasn't a Julian Jackson type hitter but he punched hard enough to hurt and stop most of his opponents. The ones he didn't stop certainly didn't hang their chins out to get tested by him either. His power was very good and very respected at that time.
