Would be a great fight for sure..
But a pole isn't needed on ESB, Benn is unbeatable in fantasy matchups here..

He had 9 stoppage wins out of 17 at 168 - that barely qualifies as "most".

I think he lost a bit of sting when he moved up aswell...but my opposing viewpoint isnt really based on how hard Benn hit, rather how hard I think Kessler hits.

I don't think Mikkel is a particularly big puncher...Benn is, no matter what way you look at it.

Kessler is far from a light hitter but his record is littered with pikings, corner retirements and questionable stoppages.

But look a little deeper into those stats and you can see he fought the iron chinned Eubank, Malinga and Wharton, the spoiling Galvano and scrappy vet in Gimenez.

It's not always about the raw stats.

I would favour Kessler in this one.
Benn was a very good pressure fighter and Kessler doesnt like to be pressured too much, but I think Kessler is the physically stronger fighter, and I think prime Kessler would be hitting Benn at will.
Kessler by points, something like 9-3 / 8-4

That means nothing. If Benn was really that hard a puncher, he'd have stopped them. End of story. That especially applies with Galvano, Gimenez, and Malinga, who were all very, very limited. But more damning then that is the fact he took 11 rounds to stop Nicky Piper who despite what people love to think, wasn't very durable.

But you're right, it's not always about the raw stats, so you're free to go and find footage of Benn's power at 168 against anyone, and show me that he could in fact punch.

Benn was almost like Tyson esp at 160lbs.Benns power at 168lbs wasn`t as good initially but came as good later. His overall speed/movement became slightly slower but he`d still beat Kessler.Benn on points win. Some wanker on here said Benn would get whacked.

Nigel would blow Kessler to smithereens, and I am a Kessler fan.

Its bad stylistically for Kessler, he'd get ****ed up early.

Benn is one of the best fantasy boxers on ESB, he is right up there with McClellan and Julian Jackson. Better in retrospect than they ever were in reality.
Mike Tyson is the GOAT fantasy fighter, actually the top 10 is just all Mike Tyson from different fights.
The bobbin' and weavin' has gained legendary status.

    I agree
Benn did struggle with Malinga, so I think his best bet is to try and turn it into a war.

Benn was a huge puncher at 160 but I think his power is hyped ay 168 but still he could pop at SMW. Kessler would look stiff and robotic against Benn and I think Benn would be to busy for Kessler and would slow him down with body shots.

    Benn by decision.
Kessler can't handle speed and athleticism.
