Again, provide the proof he was a big puncher at 168. Do it or STFU.

Which was a completely **** example, McClellan was never even hurt in that fight until a huge headbutt in the middle rounds - after that, and ONLY after that, did McClellan start to struggle.

And even after that, it was accumulative punishment that did McClellan in, not any single big shots. Benn struggled to knock out a fighter that could well have had a prior brain injury. Yeah, huge puncher for sure :good

    I'm surrounded by morons.

I acknowledge that Barkley was a good fighter, even if he was going through a bad patch at the time.

But once again, that has nothing to do with the ridiculous misconception that Benn could punch at 168. I don't dispute his power at 160, which while overrated still, is not a thing of complete myth.

Right i'm the moron.Could well have had a prior brain injury ? got proof of that have you ? You only have to watch that fight to see how hard Benn was firing, mclellan was tough as ****.
Benn is well known for his power throughout boxing , but you must be right sat tapping away in your bedroom.

Maybe it is a bit over rated at 168 but you are under rating it far more. Benn was a hard puncher, simple, most people know it.

Exactly, he put all his power into the shots, and still failed to hurt McClellan until the huge headbutt. Thanks for confirming that.

And no, I have no definitive proof about the brain injury before the fight, hence why I said "could well have had". I didn't present it as fact, but there's every possibility that it was the case.

Go onto youtube and find proof of this power people talk of. Do it.

Considering his popularity, there's a reason there isn't a Nigel Benn KO reel.

There's also every possibility it was from the accumilitive force of repeated head shots by a well known puncher over 10 rounds, but hey.

Benn took some massive shots in that fight too and didnt get stopped. Does that mean Mclellan wasnt a hard puncher?
