https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Spn08E7DctQ Benn against the underrated crafty Sanderline Williams, just wondered how you scored this fight? I Actually had it a draw, shows Williams was much better than his record suggests.
Sanderline Williams was a cagey journeyman who knew how to hang in there with elite prospects and contenders. First time I saw him was against James Toney and he went toe to toe with him. Just one of those guys that you didn't want to fight unless he was the only thing your people had lined up. Interesting thing I saw on boxrec. Apparently Williams fought Ron Essett around 1988 and the bout was initially scheduled for 12 rounds. But they added an extra round after it was ruled a draw. I don't think I've ever heard of that happening before.
Thanks for the explanation. Yeah I thought some of the same things when looking at that result. Trying to get two guys back into fight mode after feeling the relief of the contest ending doesn't sound practical at all.
Incredibly, the hugely avoided/underrated Lindell Holmes beat the **** out of both Williams and Tate..
