Benn's style suited that though, he was a brawler. Those wild hooks are also the only way I can see anyone doing shadows with 20lb weights - you won't be using proper technique, you'll just be swinging them about.
Benn also had audacious nutrition stuff going on, like fish and zinc for breakfast and necking 200 vitamin pills a day, etc.
Why is there an obsession with pros workout routines on this forum? These routines are more then likely not what they did anyway.
200 what..? ****ing be more specific when you say wild statements like this. 200 what..? Vitamin C, Multi- Vitamins..? was it really 200 pills..? If it was 200 pills he used to consume, he would have Liver and Kidney damage.
Check this out- http://articles.chicagotribune.com/1996-02-06/news/9602070006_1_nigel-benn-vitamin-frank-bruno 200 was quoted by Benn himself but can't find where.
How in the **** do you shadow box with 20lb weights? And running 15 miles with ankle weights on would kill your ****ing knees, let alone tear the **** out of your ankles. It sounds like total crap. And taking hundreds of pills a day is just idiocy. I remember when they did a feature on Sean Sherk, who takes something like 35 supplements 3 times a day, and everyone was shocked, 150+ is utterly insane, and his liver would calcify and die until he shat it out in a little brick.
Don't believe everything you read. Fighters don't have set plans they always do. Anyone who believes this is how Benn (and any other of the pros routines on the forum now) trained you are very stupid
