Nigel 'Dark Destroyer' BENN vs. Carl 'the Cobra' FROCH @ 168

Benn takes Froch out in 5 in my opinion. Froch leaving his chin exposed and dropping his hands would be suicidal against a fighter who punched as hard as Benn.

 

Oh god this thread is bound to get some serious Froch hate

 

Definitely a Benn KO here - Froch doesn't defend himself or have the head movement to survive 12 rounds with Benn. And Benn survived more powerful punchers than Froch (McClellan).

It will be interesting to consider in two years time when (hopefully) Froch has improved IMHO.

 

my honest opinion benn wins on points.....but ask me 5-10 years from now we will have to see how froch's carear pans out

 

Froch to hurt and stop Benn

 

Benn would have taken Calzaghe and Froch at his best. Calzaghe would have been a slightly tougher fight.

 

Benn UD for me. I think he would have floored Froch, yet Froch has good heart and I think he could last the distance.

 

Leaving yoursef as open as Froch does against a man with such murderous punching power as Nigel Benn is suicide. Not to mention no head movement, I'd expect Benn to take out Froch by mid rounds. Although I wouldn't be surprised if Benn had to get up off the canvas to do so. His chin wasn't granite but his heart was something else.

 

Bad style match up for Carl.

A poor defense is the one weakness you dont want vs Nigel. He'd crack any chin given enough chance.

 

Not only is Froch easy to hit, he is also a very slow starter. If Benn came out swinging, then I don't think Froch would last more than 3 rounds, to be honest.

 

Benn in around 7. Froch is asking to be stopped by Benn with his style!!

 

This would be a WAR! Benn is tougher and stronger though; I think he stops Froch.

 

Harder puncher easily, but you'd have to go some to be tougher and stronger than froch.The man looks as strong as an ox.I actually think its benns in the first half and frochs in the second half down to carls strength

 

Benn never hit as hard at 168.

Benn by a close decision for me.
