+Just saw his Facebook status - not sure if this has been reported but didn't see a thread on it: I've had the most disappointing news in my life found out a couple of weeks ago that I can't fight anymore i have avoided telling anyone coz I can't accept it I'm in the form of my life on the verge of winning the British title and they have took it all away from me I'm absolutely gutted It's unfortunate for Nigel who was scheduled to fight Ashley Theopane for the British title back in December but pulled pulled out due to injury (the same one that has retired him I presume). Still though he did very well winning an English title outright and shared the ring with a lot of good boxers including Ajose Olusegun, Alex Arthur and Paul McClosky. Terrible news, he was always a guy that you could trust to give a fight to the top boys in the division domestically. Best of luck to him.
Real Shame i remember when his career had a mid slump and then he seemed to pick it back up and right when he got things going again he has to retire. Shame..
Was always good to watch. Went on a slump after getting on the wrong side of bad judging against Daws the 2nd time. I thought he took that close but clear. Was good to see him come back with that win over Arthur and I think he would of been a tough opponent for Theophane. Hope he recovers
Sad to hear but if it's a medical issue at least they've diagnosed it before a fight rather than after
