Tyszu has heart and is very entertaining but he has serious pain waiting around the corner.

Great fight and credit to both men.

Koen wasn't defending himself and turned his back. Pretty much textbook stoppage. Considering the war we just witnessed it felt like a soft stoppage though

If I am Tszyu’s team I take at least one more fight before Zerafa maybe fight him some time in 2025

Damaging power shots too. Hence the ref asking him to fight back.

Again I understand if some feel stoppage was a little British for their tastes

Ref deprived us of a lot there. I really would have liked to see how round 10 would've gone... had Tszyu kept up what he was doing in the 9th he'd eke out a draw on my card. I wonder if we'll even get to see what the judges had, now...

Ryan is about 35 now I think it is a good fight to make Nikita could use at least one more before Zerafa. Ryan has a hell of a gas tank and a chin so Nikita will need to improve to beat him.

I thought Nikita boxed a very good first five rounds. Mazoudier won 6 & 7 & threatened to take control of the fight. Nikita steadied the ship in the 8th & got the stoppage in the 9th. Watching the replay, it was justified (imo). Very entertaining fight & Nikita had to show real grit to win.

Yes but the lad just spent eight rounds showing us he was made of teak and could walk through plenty of Tszyu's power shots. They just hadn't been coming in as high concentration before then, because Tszyu was rallying (likely in a panic believing the match was slipping away on the cards). There was only a single moment that Mazoudier was in enough trouble for a ref stoppage, when Tszyu landed a big left from range, and that moment had long passed. The ref misread the situation with Mazoudier ending up hunched over and turned away. He wasn't that badly hurt then.

Zerafa and his team were escorted from the venue before the main event for their own safety

Tszyu was up on all three cards anyhow... even had it gone on, Mazoudier needed a KO (especially with losing the 9th big). :ohno

    Jesus.

    1. Browne looks ancient.
    2. "the most polarizing man in Aussie boxing"...does Zerafa fit that bill even more than Mundine did?
    3. ref should be doing vocals in a death metal band with that voice...
    4. Muay Thai levels of holding & hitting.
    5. what exactly transpired with the "brawl"? Browne tore his bicep and retired on his stool, and then suddenly Zerafa's little midget yap-dog brother is running around throwing sucker punches?
