Nikita is male name. You would not find a single women named Nikita here. It's not multi gender name as Sasha that could be male or female.

Nikita is a common russian name that is used for both girls and boys, like sam or example.
    Congratulations for Nikita

I stand corrected. Kostya is a hero in Australia, I named my Daughter Nikitta and I got that name from Kostya's son

Is this the son that broke Kostya's father's jaw with a punch as a toddler, or was that Timothy Tszyu?

People forget that names in other languages have different gender. Sasha seems to more commonly be short for "Alexander" than for a feminine name, just like Karol means "Charles/Carl" instead of "Carol".
