Nikolai Valuev Vs Dwight Muhammad Qawi (Heavyweight)

Qawi knocks out both of Valuev's upper thighs and the big fella falls over and cannot get back to his feet due to his lack of feeling below the waist....

 

I could see Qawi breaking down Valuev's body in the long run.

Its a very interesting hypothetical match up.

Disagree. Valuev couldn't stop shot CW Marcelo Dominguez nor could he hurt/rock him. He couldn't stop or drop many small fighters, WAY less durable than Dominguez or Qawi. Qawi was iron-chinned warrior who was knocked down maybe 2 times in his career.

The gap in skills is light years-distance. So I think that fat Qawi beats the hell out of ugly giant, but gets robbed on scorecards.

 

I love Qawi, but I think Valuev was too big for him. Guys like Monte Barrett who was 6'3 had problems with his size. Qawi was only 5'7 and he wasnt the force he was at lightheavy and cuiserweight. I think Valuev just wears him down and stops Qawi in 8-9 rounds. With the height disparity I can see Qawi landing quite a few low blows that would bother Valuev.

He'd be fighting uphill all night, the big guy wins by being harder to move and landing more jabs.

 

Valuev's size would be the difference.

 

It would probably be a boring fight, Valuev wouldn’t be throwing much as he’d struggle to land clean, but Qawi would struggle to get past the overwhelming weight and height advantage to get solid work off.

Qawi could win, Marcelo Fabian Dominguez gave Valuev plenty of issues at 5’9, who was nowhere near the quality of Qawi.

 

This fight is interesting cause Valuev is huge guy but he does not really use his size. I am pretty sure Quawi goes the distance. However, I am not so sure he will do enough to get the decision.
