Perry left randomly, minutes before being accosted? Lol idk man does that sound right to you? Maybe he signed out when things were getting heated. Or maybe he stepped out to grab a 6 pack and never returned. You're right, Burts stories were going to clash with the modern posters. But the modern posters should've at least had the foresight to contain themselves while Burt shared original content. They went at him pretty hard, oh well. No, no... we need to change the banner of this website to say #AllBoxersMatter
You don't believe me? He signed out just after a couple of us took him on per Frazier. This was just before the background question. Carve it in stone. I agree it would have been nice for Burt's opinions to be disagreed with less harshly. A guy like him is a real asset. Even if you disagree and consider him biased his first hand accounts and stories are gold.
lol no I believe you. I'm just saying that he may have signed off and viewed the forum as a guest perhaps? For some reason, I thought it was common knowledge that he left because that thread, but if that's not the case, that would be great, and this would be a misunderstanding.
Perry was a dimwitted knownothing. Good riddance. Burt, for all his repetitive run-of-the-mill yarns about old timers provided good balance to the forum. But the best part was Klompton insinuating he was a complete fraud who couldn't keep his lies straight. That was comedy gold. I miss them all.
This forum has the highest percentage of old timers that all hate each other when compared to all other forums.
People jumped on Perry because he was a simple blowhard who mindlessly parroted tired cliches and insulted anyone who disagreed with them. His vague, unconvincing references to his personal experiences were tangential to all of this. Who was mean to Burt? Seemed more to me like most of his first-hand posts generated a chorus of fawning admirers, no matter how repetitive or rose-colored.
I reckon he left because of the thread for sure. I think it's because his points got hammered per Frazier. It's not impossible he logged out and saw them as a guest.
That's unfair on Perry, he made some really good points at times, particularly when he wasn't heavily biased toward a fighter in discussion. Burt provided first hand information.
Very good choon indeed. The artists name perfectly rhymes with a certain unaccomplished over hyped bloke of a pugilist.
