He's big and all, but how come that one with his size can't punch properly? Is his size a result of some handicap he's born with, which gives him less control of his body and thus makes him unable to control his shoulders for some hard punches? Was his punches hindered by some physical handicap?
Wouldn't that be the only explanation for him not going wild and not smashing everyone in the ring to pieces?
He's handicapped by the fact that he fell into boxing due to his huge size to make some money as a kind of circus act. This means he has no real passion or motivation, let alone skill, which makes him easy prey for geriatric Holyfield types.
Only he was a longtime amateur before he turned pro, he fell into boxing because he went into a boxing gym as a kid, and now a millionaire Russian politician because of this handicap. This content is protected
He does not have good mechanics for a fighter. He has difficulty generating torque and maintaining balance. He suffers from the body mechanics issues in the same way all huge fighters are - this is why you never see a 250lb fighter moving like a Bantam. They physically cannot do so. Being especially huge, he suffers from it in an extreme way. He is not handicapped in the sense you mean, no.
In fact, I do have a mental handicap. I wanted to relate to Valuev. He seems handicapped, so I would be much more of a fan if he was handicapped.
Now, don't diss his look, that's just mean. And he probably don't give a ****. But I think he's abnormally slow and mild-punching for one of his size.
They make Valuev sign a clause in all his fights... "Only use 63.4% of his punching power" (Also is made to use 30oz gloves.) :deal
Deep down they want the man to come back and clean up the division. Thats why they talk ****, to try to get him out of retirement.
