Tell me abit about this guy.

Seen his fight with Condes. A nice tidy boxer-puncher with brilliant fundamentals. Real accurate, sharp puncher who is strong and can keep the pressure on. I think his real strength is his technical ability, he looks specail in that way.

Anyone seen his win over Garcia? Garcia was handy and apparently it was 1 sided.

How do you see him matching up with Roman Gonzalez? And the other Strawweights? Nietes?

Or just your general thought son him.

Fundamentally solid, as you say. Otherwise basic and thoroughly unspectacular. I don't see anything special in him. Gonzalez, for all his flaws, would out-gun him methinks.

I think he is fundamentally very sound and a good athlete, he also seems to be very strong, and a strong if not explosive puncher.

As you say I also think Gonzalez out-guns him, I think he is much more fluid with his combination, his combinations are beautiful - the way he mixes it to head and body, he also to me seems abit more relentless and harder working. Would be a brilliant fight though.

out of interest what Joyi fights have you seen?

Hear he might now be fighting Oleydong Sithsmimarchai.

A winnable fight for Joyi, although Oleydong is a very adept counter-puncher and mover early on in a fight, he does tend to slow down later in the fight. And Joyi keeps a constant pace throughout.

ive been rating him for years. he has got much more compact now unlike his earlier years which looked like a version of afolabi. nice solid jabs and crosses then winging left hooks.

he can beat gonzalez i feel.

How do you see him matching up against Sithsimarchai?

not sure to be honest. i can see him beating gonzalez due to his strength and ability to pressure while also having the skills to get out of a dog fight.

it's his lack of consisted workrate that his mild floor and when it drops i think is what will do him over. sifsimarchai i think could be a bit of a test and probably take that to his advantage. but it's a good match on paper that he can win. if he keeps it at a distance uses his jab and counters the counterpuncher when he is coming to him i think a ud.

underated division the mini's. the top 10 are very good and would be lauded over if they where 4 divisions up at least

    Seriously?

He is very talented in a fundamental sort of way, relative to his division of course. The way he shut out Garcia (as I am told) is impressive.
