Would somebody please tell me just who the hell Julian Williams is?

 

IBF and WBA 154lbs world champion, just upset reigning champ Jarrett Hurd, which was a good slugfest where he knocked Hurd down in the 2nd and won a decision nobody expected. In his personal life he's Muslim and thanked Allah for his victory over Hurd. He goes by the nickname J-Rock, he's one of my favorite active fighters

FYI...that ain't the way it happened. True, I was clueless as to who Williams was, as I don't follow modern day boxing at all, unless I'm intrigued enough to look someone up and do some research. The Undefeated Lachbuster was so kind to supply me with a bit of information, and I did the rest by watching Williams-Hurd...and my reaction was and remains honest...at this stage, he wouldn't be beating a 90 bout two division world champion like Benvenuti...nope, not yet anyway.

 

Really surprised at you PhillyPhan69....you sure assume a lot, don't you? I sure didn't know who Williams was when I made my first post to this thread...but I had nothing to do last night but watch fight vids on You Tube...and I saw what I saw...Williams vs Hurd...and no, he don't beat a HOF great like Nino Benvenuti at this time, from what I saw of him. It's the time line son,...that's where you misjudged me here.

 

I was not really judging you. I was surprised that you picked when you said you didn’t know who he was. I applaud you and I am doing the same with Danny Romero right now. Glad to hear you watched some and as always I respect and enjoy your postings!
