    who wins this fight??

benvenuti was the greatest fighter italy ever produced (at least thats what the ring says).

brisco one of the best men never to win a belt.

benvenuti had a reported amateur record of 120-0!!!!

brisco was among the 100 hardest hitters pound for pound of all time.

brisco was a crouching bull of a fighter with a murderous left hook.

benvenuti was a stylish stand up boxer with a very good left jab.

bennie had trouble with boxers that could keep him at a distance like monzon did. his long range skills were mediocre.

benvenuti was a fighter who liked staying on the outside and use his jab.

but he was not as hard punching and robust as monzon.

could he keep bennie off him and win a UD????

Could go either way, but I think at his best I'd favor Bennie over 15 rounds.

Yes, as good as Nino was, he wasn't of the caliber of Carlos Monzon, and Monzon had quite a go of it with Briscoe. It wouldn't bode well for Nino against THAT particular version of Bad Bennie.

Bennie Briscoe would prove too rough and tough for Benvenuti. He would win a decision over Nino or possibly stop him in the later rounds.

i too would favour briscoe, the end likely coming by facial damage in the late rounds.

but nino would win the early rounds. and in italy, nino would have had a good shot if the ref would abolish bennie for ducking and slipping punches and calling it headbutting.
