'The Ring' did this as a 'Battle of the Legends' decades ago and all three experts picked Benvenuti to win pretty easily. Think it was Al Braverman who was particularly dismissive of Jackson. I thought it was very harsh on 'The Hawk.' Who you got at 154?

Interesting matchup and one I’ve never thought about. Was an avid reader of ring decades ago and liked the battle of the legends section but don’t remember seeing this one. With that said, I’m not totally sure who wins. Jackson had enough power and ferocity to knock just about anyone through a brick wall. But Nino was a pretty durable and crafty guy with a lot of Savvy and late round stamina. I’m still undecided but I can understand why that panel favored him

I like Nino to win, but I wouldn't expect it to be "easy" - as his wins over Griffith & Fullmer show, he could be tagged & occasionally dropped. I think Nino wins by mid-round stoppage, but very possibly has to survive a rocky moment or two en route.

I agree with the general consensus, I'd pick Benvenuti to win but it ain't exactly the easiest thing to do. Both fighters would be roughed up bad, but I pick the wily Nino to win here.
This wouldn't be a Herol Graham situation.
