Nino would be too much for Oscar at 154, he's a bigger, stronger man...DLH falls late by way of a body attack similar to the way he did vs. Hopkins.
Nino by solid decision, with a kd along the way. When you beat Emile Griffith 2 out of 3, you of course beat ODLH.
If Oscar had ever shown movement at 154, similar to the movement he used against Trinidad at 147, I might be inclined to say his speed would be too much for Benvenuti. Be it a feeling of extra strength, feeling that much heavier with only 7 lbs, or something to prove; Oscar was noticeably heavier on his feet at junior middleweight. Nino was not a powerful puncher, but I do think his size and strength would be an issue in this fight. I just can't see Oscar going 15. Benvenuti tko 12.
Nino wasn't a great hitter ,but he hit hard enough to get your attention ,as Luis Rodriguez would attest.Nino by dec
I'll go with oscar by decision. When he was on his toes and boxing he was extremely tough to beat, not to mention that his hands were faster than anyone that benvenuti ever faced.
