    who wins.

i pick johnson. he was faster, more athletic, hit at least as hard and had a better chin.

and he was a southpaw, which would probably take away bevenutis best weapon, the jab.

he would beat benvenuti to the punch all night.

either johnson by late tko or ud.

I don´t know who Johnson beat, that you make him heavily a favour over a proven HOF´r like Benvenuti. I pick a prime Nino (1963 ca.) to outpoint Johnson, and pretty comfortably...

Nino Benvenuti was a top flight, World Champion, who twice beat Emile Griffith, among others, and Reggie Johnson was not the fighter Griffith was. Nino wins a unanimous decision, maybe even scoring a knockdown along the way.

Reggie by decision. Benvenuti beat two welterweights, it's much different to face a big clever skillful southpaw, who won titles at 160 and 175.

Reggie of course lost to Jones so Nino wouldn't stand a chance.
