The 1st fight ended w/ Benvenuti sparking the normally sturdy Mazzinghi w/ a single uppercut. In the rematch, Mazzinghi put a lot of heat on Benvenuti, but Nino jabbed & countered furiously on his way to a dec. Benvenuti rebounded from an absolutely brutal 4th rnd KD to outbox & outslug Griffith down the stretch of what was voted The Ring's Fight OTY.
