Dimitry Bivol still has not been paid his purse for the Alvarez fight on May 7th.

Because Bivol is Russian he wasn't allowed to have the Russian flag displayed at the fight or the Russian anthem sung and now it's apparently acceptable to steal the earnings from Russian athletes.

Self-determination/identity and geography is not the same. For centuries Tsar/KPSS/Putin did everything possible to make regular people think Europe/the West is the enemy and that Russia is its own unique civilization (which is BS) and has its own path.

 

Even after the 2014 post-Crimea crisis Russian boxing has been dead. Even huge stars like PEDvetkin were fighting abroad. And even before 2014 boxing shows in Russia were not profitable.
Now it's not only barely possible to do such a match-up in Russia, it won't generate enough money to pay all sides involved (TR, Beterbiev)
