My guess/hope is that the content will be similar to what many of us have come to enjoy from All access & 24/7. The main difference being, instead of their stories being mixed together on a particular episode, they'll now be on separate shows& with the time equivalent of four 24/7 (half-hour)episodes. I plan to DVR them together & watch them back to back.
What's there to see? Floyd flaunting, family dysfuctioning, floyd calling people at 3:00 AM while they are asleep to do his bidding, paid promotional hos, telling the world "who is manny compared to me?", uncomfortable "friends" who look like they were paid to be at his side, a charity only floyd and his entourage go to ... Pac preaching, pretending like he's helping his community, dionsaura praying with her gawdy jewelry, his wife becoming whiter than paper, pac paying his entourage to lose weight, freddy whining about pac not taking training seriously .... i had enough of it when they were both on HBO.
They'll probably be followed around by video cameras all the same, except instead of releasing footage as television promos to the fight, they'll release the footage as a documentary a la When We Were Kings.
The reason why all access and 24/7 have opted out is because fans have been making better hype videos about these two guys for years. We know everything about them, seen all their fights, watched all theirs videos, master bated to them in some cases (MVC/boxing_master) So why would you want to watch any more promos unless its them two in the same room?
Documentaries are stupid. We already know the lives of both of them. I just want to get an in-depth look at their preparation for each other. All-access and 24/7 would have been perfect.
Completely idiotic move. These shows were geared more towards casual fans. Yes, a lot of casuals will buy this fight but doing the show would've grabbed more. Maybe it was in the contract that both camps didn't want to be followed.
A 1 hour special by each network for their own fighter which makes 2 hours of documentary for the pair of them which is basically the same as the normal 4 episodes of 24/7 and all access It would be good if they need s long media tour though as well as chat shows and a face off
