No American heavyweights today are as good as David Haye

This proves that Britain is ruling U.S in terms of heavyweights.

Haye was a world-class fighter and WBA Heavyweight champion, he said he'd do it and he didn't. Then you have guys like Chris Arreola who never won a belt, Thompson who's 40 and never won a belt and Banks who got beat by Seth 'Glass Chin' Mitchell.

Haye to end Fury. To save the heavyweights.

I won't disagree with you... however, the best American Heavyweight doesn't get the respect he deserves. He got a bullshyt Draw decision against Glazkov and he was out-boxing the bell out of Chisora before the ref cheated him. I'm talking about Malik Scott, of course.

My OP post is true though, none of these american heavyweights are held in the same regard as Haye.

If by "as good as" you mean "as reluctant to step into a ring as" or "has ducked out of more fights than" or "flops like a fish in a title fight after talking bravely" or "has had a longer layoff than" ... if that's what you mean, you are correct.

I don't see an American Heavyweight that I would pick to beat Haye. And I frankly don't think it would even be close.

Yes but regardless this era of heavyweights is probably one of the weakest if not the weakest generation of all time. So really no real victory there and I'm willing to bet it's mostly due to the lack of any American heavyweights.

Watch Tony Thompson getting to his feet at the count of 9 in Price-Thompson 2 and compare that with Malik Scott staying on a knee, looking at the ref until the count of 9.
Tony Thompson wanted to fight. Malik Scott was looking for a way out.

the heavyweight division could be erased from the face of the earth and more people would not give a **** than if the same were to happen from lhw, pretty much all the way down to junior bantamweight, give or take a couple of divisions, an arguably a couple below junior bantam, especially for fans of the little guys. this is the first time that something like this can be said in the whole recorded history of gloved boxing, and is a testament to the shittiness of the division comparatively. sick, the uk is dominating the u.s in the worst heavyweight era to date.

Yeah it's sad really that a David Gaye is heralded as a great heavyweight. Either way the division is ass trash so really nothing to celebrate about.

Indeed. And David Cameron would KO Obama. David Cameron is one of the toughest World leaders accept for Putin actually.
