I don't get it! If what you say is true, then why all the crying on about Jacobs coming in on fight night at 180 pounds.

Jacobs fought a spoiler fight, similar to that of Conn vs. Louis or Braddock vs. Baer. He boxed really cute against a slugger.

It's not his size that was the issue. When Golovkin actually cornered him on the ropes, two small straight rights folded him like a beach chair.

There is minimal leverage on these punches. Jacobs size made him more durable? Please.

If Golovkin landed a cleaner shot, it would be bad news bears.
But Jacobs was fighting as a spoiler. And did not succeed mind you.

The guy who bumped this thread thinks jabbing was invented by Sonny Liston.
And before that there was just the "paw."

LMAO. Strawmanning me again? You're as dishonest as you are ridiculous. Can we stick to the topic of the thread though? I'd love to read some detailed fan fiction fairy tales about how Golovkin beats some of the top sub-200 boxers in the world.

What is this some crusade against me? Have you been plotting all week?

Golovkin has gotten the better of top sub-200 boxers in sparring. Many of them.
Each passing year he can only be losing a step.

But it's hilarious that you think the Jacobs fight diminishes all that, and you bring up this thread from the grave to boast your dumb opinion. Shows how shallow you are and clueless about boxing you are.

Big 180lb Jacobs fell from two tapping right hands.

Is this thread for real or humour?
I am confused, I read it as a joking exaggeration of the "nobody 154-168 goes 12 with GGG" that A. Sanchez or someone was quoted saying, no?

EDIT/ Just wanted to add I think Golovkin could potentially upset Ward and am a big time GGG cheerleader in general.

I'm a huge GGG fan but I don't see it. There are some real monsters at 200, and at 175 I think the top guys would give Golovkin all he could handle and probably then some.

I know that this thread was bumped because GGG "failed" against Jacobs - ie failed to KO him like everybody else - but the fact of the matter is that Jacobs is a very good fighter, the MW #2, and he fought the fight of his life against Golovkin.

    And still lost.

I do however agree with fists of steel that GGG would still cream most if not all the 168 guys.
