Alcoholism is attached to a number of things.

People with high IQs are more prone to alcohol addiction.

This might be a case in point.

If Jackson holds the title, then he is going to have money to burn, and everybody is going to be buying him drinks.

This was a significant issue for both John L Sullivan, and Jack Johnson.

Given the quality heavies we have seen over the past two decades from the East, what difference would be made if the Iron Curtain had never been put in place?

    It is a fair question.

Newsboy Brown is one of the greatest flyweights who ever drew breath!

I don't know if I've ever seen a post with more mistakes than this one. First of all, Jackson would never win against Corbett (proven) or Fitzsimmons. Jackson loses his title to Corbett. Corbett loses his title to Fitzsimmons and Fitz proceeds to lose to Jeffries. If the colour line never existed and Johnson beats Hart, then Jeffries fights Johnson. Johnson loses to Jeff via KO. What would happen after this is debatable.

You're deluded lol. Which coloured fighter would've won against a prime Sullivan? 'Old chocolate' Godfrey? Godfrey wouldn't have had a chance. Would c.c Smith have defeated Fitzsimmons? No black fighter in the world at the time would've won against a White fighter before Joe Louis (except Burns who was a bum). One more thing, Joe Louis has to be questioned. Joe Louis failed to beat Max Schmeling in the first fight. Schmeling clearly took a dive in the second fight. There were violent mobs trying to get to him, of course he took a dive lol. If Joe Louis failed to beat the best White fighter in the world, doesn't he have to be questioned too?
